Personalized Baby Gift Sets

I have been super busy with orders lately and as soon as I get pics of everything I will post about them. A big seller has been personalized baby gift sets. I have three different sets:
Onesie with burp cloth- $25

Onesie with bib and burp cloth- $32

Onesie with bib and two coordinating burp clothes- $40

How cute are these?! I have some listed on my etsy site and can take orders via email or through facebook too. They are all made to order so I can do them in any thread color, ribbon color and size you'd like. The onesies are available in NB to 12 months and short or long sleeves.

Sewing: The Next Generation

Today I had the pleasure of "babysitting" my niece Belle. It really wasn't babysitting because she entertained Silly Lily all morning but once Lils went down for a nap Belle and I went to Sew Silly Central (or my dining room turned sewing room) for some sew silly fun. Belle has been making jewelry and bows for the last year and even got a sewing/embroidery machine for Christmas so she asked if I could teach her to make something. I chose the Oliver + S Lazy Days Skirt because it is a great starter project. We had so much fun and she did an amazing job! She picked the cutest fabric from my stash. I can not wait to see pictures of her modeling it. Here are some pics of us working... Isn't she the cutest thing ever!?

Baby Girl #2!

That's right, we just found out today that we are expecting another little princess to join big sister Silly Lily!!

SL is very excited about becoming a big sister to a girl, mainly because boys make her nervous. She has three girl cousins and all my close friends have girls so she is rarely around boys. When we go to the mall playground and there are boys, she is very skittish and hangs back by me to watch the other kids play. When it is all girls at the playdate/playground she is very outgoing and friendly. I am hoping that when she starts preschool in the fall she will grow out of this.

Mr. Sew Silly has been saying all along that this is another girl. He is happy that he has been proven right (again) but I know a little part of him was wishing for a son for all that male bonding stuff. I told him we can just try for a boy with the next one, which made him laugh nervously and look at me with crazy eyes. I know he is thinking "What if we have a third girl??!! How will I pay for all those weddings?" lol

I am really excited! I am a planner so I am excited to get to work on the nursery and on all the cute little matching outfits for my silly little girls. I could scream with excitment but I am at my "real job" so I will hold it in for now.

This is my first personal post, I hope you all don't mind me throwing some info about me and the fam on here every now and then. I will leave you all with the money shot of Baby Sew Silly.

Two Tutus!

A couple of weeks ago a Facebook friend asked for a rainbow tutu and matching tee for her 2 1/2 year old. I was so excited to make it, so when another friend saw a picture of it and asked for one for her almost 1 yr old's first birthday I was doubley excited! These two tutus (that is just fun to say) are made with hot pink, orange, yellow, green, aqua, and purple tulle with matching inital applique tees. Here are the finished outfits!

Sick of Winter...Some Summer Sewing

After a recent freak snowstorm here in the South had us stuck indoors for 4 days, I am sick of cold weather. The best way for me to get out of the slump is to start sewing some summer clothes for my little one. So here is my winter blues therapy...

Just What the Doctor Ordered...

Dr. Suess that is! A client requested this Dr. Suess themed pillowcase dress for her daughter's 2nd birthday. I love the yellow fabric with all our favorite characters on it. I hope little Tess loves this dress too.

Chuga Chuga Choo Choo!

This is a present for yet another one of my friends that had a baby last week. Baby Henry is going to be sew cute in this little train onesie. My favorite part is the cloud of smoke that is actually a soft fluffy minky material. Can't wait to see pictures of him in it!
